Support for SpeechCatcher
This page provides support information for the SpeechCatcher iPad app and related SpeechCatcher services. SpeechCatcher is designed to support speech-language pathologists, clinicians, educators, students, and researchers with speech recording, transcription, and analysis workflows.
SpeechCatcher is a tool to support professional judgment. It does not provide medical or diagnostic advice, and all clinical decisions remain the responsibility of the qualified professional using the app.
1. Contact Support
For help with SpeechCatcher, email us at support@speechcatcher.ca.
To help us respond efficiently, include the email address associated with your SpeechCatcher account, your iPad model, your iPadOS version, your SpeechCatcher app version, and a short description of the issue. Do not send client audio recordings, client names, health information, or other sensitive session details by email.
2. Account Help
If you need help signing in, verifying your email address, or securing your account, contact support from the email address associated with your SpeechCatcher account whenever possible.
If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, email support@speechcatcher.ca immediately.
3. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your SpeechCatcher account by emailing support@speechcatcher.ca with the subject line "SpeechCatcher account deletion request."
For security, we may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner before deleting the account. Deleting an account may affect access to app data, subscriptions, and related services.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
If SpeechCatcher subscriptions are purchased through Apple, Apple manages subscription billing, renewal, cancellation, and App Store payment methods.
To manage or cancel an Apple subscription, visit account.apple.com or open your Apple account subscription settings on your device.
5. Restore Purchases
If you purchased access through the App Store and your subscription or purchase is not showing in SpeechCatcher, make sure you are signed in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase. Then use the restore purchases option in the app, if available.
If the purchase still does not appear, contact support and include the email address associated with your SpeechCatcher account. Do not send full payment card details by email.
6. Refunds
For purchases made through the App Store, refund requests are handled by Apple. Speech Metrics cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
To request a refund for an App Store purchase, use Apple's report a problem process or the refund options available through your Apple account.

Your use of SpeechCatcher is governed by the following documents:
